One of the concerns you might have with the feng shui of a new or existing house is a bathroom over the main entry. As
the main door is very important in feng shui, should you consider a house with a bathroom over the main door to have bad feng shui?

bad feng shui" situation for better if you know how to take care of it.
When a bathroom is located over the main door, it becomes very important to take care of its
good feng shui, as the quality of energy that comes through the main door determines the quality of energy in the house.

Bathrooms do have a bad reputation in feng shui, but they still have to be located somewhere in the house, do they not? If you take good care of the energy in
your bathroom, then its location in a specific feng shui element area should not present a problem.
A bathroom in the West or Northwest is not bad, or worse feng shui, than a bathroom in any other feng shui bagua area of the house. You might have a bathroom
in the love area, or in the
money area.
You might also have a
bathroom above the bedroom, or a bathroom
above the main entry. In each of these cases you would have to constantly keep an eye on the energy of your bathroom in order to keep the overall energy of your home fresh, stable and harmonious.

kitchen is right close to it; all areas with no walls to separate the different feng shui energies?
Even though this is a common situation in many big cities, it does not mean you can't have good feng shui in a small apartment or a studio.
There are two main skills you absolutely have to master if you want to achieve good feng shui in a small apartment or studio.

Books in the bedroom are not bad feng shui, as long as you do not have too many of them overflowing the space. Remember, the main purpose of
a good feng shui bedroom is to sleep and make love, thus too many books simply bring the energy that does not encourage the main bedroom activities.
The other feng shui concern with books in the bedroom are the possibly sharp energy -
Sha Chi - pointing at you when you sleep. This energy can be created by hardcover books arranged in a way that sends the so-called poison arrows at you.
This is the reason why in feng shui we generally recommended to have books in closed bookshelves.
