Is It Bad Feng Shui To Have Books in My Bedroom?
Friday November 6, 2009
Books in the bedroom are not bad feng shui, as long as you do not have too many of them overflowing the space. Remember, the main purpose of a good feng shui bedroom is to sleep and make love, thus too many books simply bring the energy that does not encourage the main bedroom activities.
The other feng shui concern with books in the bedroom are the possibly sharp energy - Sha Chi - pointing at you when you sleep. This energy can be created by hardcover books arranged in a way that sends the so-called poison arrows at you.
This is the reason why in feng shui we generally recommended to have books in closed bookshelves. Read more More : What Not To Have in Your Bedroom | Feng Shui Love Check-Up of Your Bedroom |

Decorate Your Home with Children's Art
Thursday November 5, 2009
Feng Shui of art in your home or office is a great topic to look into and experiment with. Just like working with colors and shapes, working with good art as a feng shui cure can bring you the best feng shui energy needed in your space.
Please note that when I say "feng shui art", I do not mean Asian calligraphy or art depicting specific feng shui cures, such as chimes, crystals, Chinese symbols, etc. Best feng shui art is the art that brings a vibrant quality of energy that lifts and nourishes your personal energy.
Best feng shui art is also the art that has specific colors, shapes and images suited to nourish the feng shui element of a specific feng shui bagua area of your home.
There are numerous sources to find beautiful art for your home: from creative Ikea decor solutions to expensive art galleries. However, have you looked into your own children's art as a source of good feng shui home decorating?
Children's art often bursts with creativity, inspiration and a unique vibrant energy. They are the ones choosing the boldest colors, images and outrageous shape combinations. Read more More : Feng Shui of Your Bedroom Art | Good Chi For Here and To Go: Feng Shui Use of Art |

Health is Wealth: Feng Shui Tips for Your Health
Wednesday November 4, 2009
Feng shui for health is one of the first steps to consider when looking to apply feng shui in your home.
Applying feng shui health tips should always be done by priorities, as you need to create a good foundation for more advanced feng shui cures to really work. If you skip the basic feng shui health steps, you might as well not bother with deeper feng shui levels.
Just like applying the best quality make-up will not help the skin look healthy long term (if the skin is not cleansed and taken care of properly on a daily level), the same applies to more complex health feng shui cures.
To create a good feng shui foundation for a healthy home, you have to start with feng shui health basics. Read more More : Feng Shui for Health Case Study | Feng Shui and Light: Nutrition for Your Home and for Your Body |

Clear the Energy in Your Home
Tuesday November 3, 2009
Clearing your home on an energy level is as important as cleaning it on the physical level. Even though we might not be able to see all the lower energy accumulation, we can sure feel them! There are homes that make you feel great, and then there are homes that literally make you feel sick. Why? Everything that happens in a home leaves its own energy imprint. Moments of joy, happiness and laughter, as well as times of sorrow, anger or pain. It is good to take care of clearing out the lower vibes and refresh your home, especially after any unpleasant events.
Smudging, working with essential oils, sounds, crystals, and more - there are many feng shui tools to help you take care of the subtle energy in your home.
Denise Linn, healer and pioneer in the field of space clearing wrote a wonderful book that I always recommend. The book is called "Sacred Space: Clearing and Enhancing the Energy of Your Home". Even though this not a book about feng shui, I always suggest reading it first if you want to understand why feng shui works and how to take better care of the energy of your home. Ready for Halloween?
Friday October 30, 2009
If you have kids you probably do not have much choice as to either you celebrate Halloween or not. You do. At least your kids do and you have to tag along.
If you are a kid at heart, though, I am sure you still enjoy celebrating Halloween. You might find the best part of Halloween for you is dressing up in crazy costumes. Or, maybe the Halloween home decorating is where the magic lies for you.
Whichever is the most exciting part of this old holiday, be sure not to forget its true meaning and keep an watchful eye on everything, from your own energy to the energy of your home.
Light candles around your home to purify the energy, use Halloween decor products with good feng shui and relax. Lots of black, lots of orange, lots of candles, and tons of protection sprinkled with some fear - and you are ready for a magical Halloween.
Think of the feng shui of two Halloween colors: black stands for mystery and the unknown and orange color brings a lively social energy. Be sure to enjoy both energies without over-indulging in just one!

iPhone Feng Shui Compass Applications
Thursday October 29, 2009
There are several feng shui compass applications for the iPhone, have you tried any of them? I do not have an iPhone, so will leave it up to you to let us know your experience. The idea is great, as you can check the feng shui directions when you need them and do that in a very subtle way.
Let's say you are heading for an important meeting and are really keen on facing your best feng shui directions. Walking into a meeting room with a compass might look a bit strange, but checking something on your iPhone - totally acceptable!
If you go to the iTunes store and type in "feng shui compass", you will find several different feng shui compass applications, most of them priced under a dollar.
The key features of some of these feng shui compass applications are zooming in and out, scrolling, as well as the ability to take a snap shot of your current reading and email it for further analysis.
All sounds good, providing the compass reading is accurate and the iPhone does not interfere with the reading.

Is Your Bathroom in the Love and Marriage Feng Shui Bagua Area?
Wednesday October 28, 2009
Bathrooms do have a bad reputation in feng shui, this is a fact. However, you have to have the bathroom somewhere in your home, don't you?
It is not that it is "bad feng shui" to have a bathroom in Southwest bagua area, it just that it takes constant attention, or focus, to keep it "in good feng shui shape", so to speak, to keep the energy fresh there.
As the energy of Southwest is connected to the feng shui energy of love relationships & marriage, it is important to be aware of the guidelines for the Love area and keep them in mind when creating (and taking care of!) your good feng shui bathroom. Feng Shui and Scents: How Does Your Home Smell?
Tuesday October 27, 2009
In feng shui we know that scents are very powerful, so different scents can be used for different purposes. You can transform the energies in a subtle way to achieve the desired results, as everything is energy.
Kids are too cranky? Drop a couple of chamomile or lavender essential oils in an oil diffuser and watch your children gradually calm down. No need to keep repeating the same words over and over again, let the scents do the job!
