I was watching recently a good designer show that left me feeling very upset. That particular sequence was on re-designing a bedroom, which had a big and quite emotional painting of a lonely woman almost drowning in dark water. The painting had the energy of sorrow and a desperate need to be alone.
It felt sad seeing the designer re-create the whole room around this painting, instead of taking a moment to realize that, energy-wise, this is a very inappropriate image to display in a couple's bedroom. |

I agree that sounds very depressing for a bedroom. So what do you think about black, white and red? I have done mine and my husband’s bedroom in those colors. Black and white for a classic/ sophisticated feel, with red to offset it and give a more romantic/sensual energy. We were married on Valentines Day, so all of our wedding, anniversary and Valentines Day gifts to each other are mostly red & white and I have devoted a shelf to those decorations.-Among other decor, like black and white framed prints and red curtains & bedding. I’d send a picture if I could. Does that sound like nice/healthy colors for a bedroom? Or do I sound more mentally challenged? HA!
Thanks.
