To Kua or Not To Kua, That is The Question
I receive many e-mails asking about feng shui kua numbers and how to deal with them, and just yesterday had a client with a strong concern about a particular flying star. Let me bring some clarity to an issue that brings a lot of confusion when trying to apply feng shui.
If your house is cluttered and your bedroom is a restless space, do you think a slight change in the facing direction will change your life overnight? Most probably, it will not.
Ancient people did not have environmental pollution, high electromagnetic fields, clutter, or an estranged relationship with their living space. The priorities and the dominant influences in one's immediate environment have greatly changed over the centuries, so the best way to go is to approach feng shui in an intelligent, practical and creative way.
And the answer to the question is - To Kua! But mindfully.

A ming gua isn’t particularly useful outside an authentic feng shui analysis (and the schools you studied with dont follow that philosophy).
Better to suggest that people seek information on their Bazi (Four Pillars). Much more useful than talking about how they keep house — that is so 19th century.
