Renew Yourself with Feng Shui

Friday April 6, 2007
The quest to become more, to feel renewed and vibrant, is especially strong in the spring, when nature, as our best teacher, is showing us the power of renewal. Feng Shui, as the ancient art and science of humans' connection to nature, is here to help with an endless tips, guidelines and suggestions.

How do you start applying feng shui without being intimidated by its complex levels? First you focus on yourself. Do answer some important questions, such as: Where you are in your life right now? Where would you like to be? Are you committed to doing the work in order to get where you want to be? Next come the honest answers about your space. Is it a happy space, a loved space? Do you like coming home? Is is clean and mostly clutter-free?

After you have brought more awareness to where you are and where your space is, time to bring feng shui to help you! Start applying feng shui by following these simple beginner steps:
  1. You have to start with a "clean slate", or as clean as possible, meaning you have honestly put your best efforts into clearing the clutter and letting go of the items that no longer serve you.
  2. You need a floor plan or a drawing of your space, as well as a compass in order to reveal the energy map (Ba-Gua) of your space.
  3. Once you know which areas of your home are connected to specific areas of your Life, you will focus on them in order to improve your life. For example, if your love life is not working, Southwest area will be the area to focus upon, as well as, of course, your bedroom.
Of course, this is just the beginning. Keep coming back to find out more about feng shui for every aspect of your life!

I’ve just moved into a new (rented) place with my parents and this is the 2nd new home I’m living in after moving out of my previous home which I lived since I was borned and brought back from the hospital! I have been quite fasinated by feng shui and a believer in feng shui. I’m out of job for a long time, been single for a long time and living unhappily at home most of the time that is why I started to read up more about feng shui online where I came across this feng shui blog.

My old home has always been very cluttered as my parents like to fill up any spaces available with shelves, tables, chairs, etc. Our old home was in a mess and I have never really felt comfortable living there.

Now that I’ve got a new room to move my things in, I’ve tried my best to position my things there according to feng shui bagua as at the moment I can’t afford a proffesional feng shui master to help me out.

I’m now rather satisfied and comfortable in the room and only my room. My parents do not believe in feng shui which I can’t do much about it. Though they have alreay cleared and threw a handful of old furniture and other things away, the living room, kitchen, their bedrooms, bathrooms and 2 other rooms are rather cluttered.

Are there ways or cures that I can use or do about these clutters and not removing them? I’m really uncomfortable with all those clutters and mess but those things belong to my parents so I can’t do much about them.

Thanks :o )

Feng shui in a home with others can be a special problem for those who depend on its order of a living space.

Anyone who lives with other people knows that personal space should be respected, and vice-versa. Depending on how old you are, you could tell your parents that you need your space to be your own.

It’s a good way to begin a starting over process and drawing boundaries.

My apartment does not have a southwest area and that is my sheng chi. I have a Gua female 5. The entry way begins with southeast. It begins narrow then opens to east, west, north. How do I rectify no southwest when it is my most important area. By the way, I just moved in 6 months ago. Thank you for any help you can provide.

be sure you read the bagua right. if the area is weak/incomplete, strengthen the SW with the earth element, crystals, love cures, etc. have a light or two as well as candles.
Again, be sure you defined the bagua right. Cheers.
