Feng Shui Tips for Summer Travel

There is no area in your life that cannot benefit from applying feng shui principles, and this definitely includes summer travel.

Either you are going far or close, for a short time or for longer, here are some good feng shui tips to keep in mind:

  1. Have your house (especially your bedroom) in a clean, orderly state before you leave. Even though you leave home, you are still strongly connected to it on an energy level.

  2. Do not hesitate to make slight feng shui adjustments for a better energy flow, be it in a hotel room, a friend's home or at your parents. If you plan to sleep in a different bedroom for a while, it better have good energy flow. No sharp corners pointing at you while you sleep, no bed facing the door, the bed balanced on both sides, etc, etc.

  3. Create a little feng shui space clearing kit of your own that will include a candle, an airspray with essential oils, a feng shui crystal or two and maybe even a smudge stick or incence. Little Buddha for travel or a mystic knot can be lucky feng shui additions. These feng shui items will help you clear the energy in any new space that does not feel right to you, plus it is always a pleasure to refresh your face with a pure essential oils airmist.

Deeper levels of feng shui can help calculate the best directions, time for travel, etc, but even if you just keep in mind the feng shui basics, you should be all set for a good summer trip! Photo: Tom Merton / Getty Images
