Have No Fear: Feng Shui of Color Blue
Saturday August 11, 2007
I am afraid of dentists. I can do many things people consider brave, but when it comes to dentists, I feel like a little kid ready to chat her way out of it or just run away.In my long search for a good dentist ( read: a dentist who will also know how to deal with patients' fears ) I think I finally found the one.
Even before I met him, the environment already started to reassure me. The office had the energy of calm and home-like safety. There was just the right balance between the latest equipment ( to reassure the mind you are getting the best treatment ) and the warm, cozy touches of a home ( to reassure the other part of you, the one that wants to run back home!)
Color Blue was used in a very powerful way. There were different shades of blue throughout the office, all used with very good feng shui - from various blue flowers to blue glass stones in a vase, as well as a big blue fountain & water mist backed by a blue wall. The part I liked the most was sitting in the dentist chair and facing a big wall with a tropical beach and clear blue waters!
Of course, the test was not over, and I was silently praying for a good dentist. Deep inside, though, my feng shui nature knew that this good energy has to have a good match in the energy of people working there, and I was right.
From a skilled and gentle assistant who calmed my fears to a pleasant and knowledgeable doctor who made me look forward to the next appointment, the experience was very healing for me.
For the first time in my life I left the office of a dentist knowing that my fears are OK, I am OK, and, most importantly, I am in good hands.
