feng shui yin yang tips Having a harmonious balance of both Yin ( black ) and Yang ( white ) energies is the foundation of a good feng shui home.

There will always be one quality of energy that is stronger depending on the use of space, but you need to have both in your home.

For example, while the Yin energy needs to be the predominant energy in your bedroom ( think relaxation, cocooning, sensuality, sleep ); you also need a slight presence of Yang ( think deep red candles, sexual images, a light color to balance the deep colors, etc. )

The same principle applies to your bathroom.

In the Western culture we tend to experience an imbalance of feng shui energies. We live in a constant flow of the very active, busy, Yang feng shui energy and often weak, or even missing feng shui energy of Yin ( the relaxed and nourishing one. ) Your well-being depends on the presence of both. Thank you. It is true, that we at home use only little of Yin energy. But what can I do if I do not want to paint a wall with black or dark colour? Can I use for example dark coloured hangings on the windows? Or have dark furniture in the bedroom?

Yes, any decor elements that can bring a deeper color are good, you certainly do not have to go for a full wall color.
