Back-to-School Feng Shui: Tips for Better Learning

Saturday August 23, 2008
feng shui tips for learning The biggest sign the summer is almost over (other than the subtle change in the natural elements, of course) is all the back-to-school activity. What to buy, what to wear, what to bring, what to do - all the usual anxiety before the start of a new cycle of learning.

Feng Shui-wise, I suggest you always start the back-to-school activity by de-cluttering first. Pay special attention to hidden areas, such as your child's closets, drawers, etc before bringing in new stuff. Why? Because you need to make space for new items without overwhelming your child's room, as well as create some fresh new energy for the beginning of the school year. As a bonus, you might discover that your child already has most of what you thought is absolutely needed!

I would say focus more on your child's environment and use feng shui to help your child learn more and be excited about discovering new knowledge rather than have more stuff. Oh, I know, I sound just like my mother. But it's good advice.
