Art Placement with Feng Shui in Mind
Tuesday October 28, 2008
The more aware you become of the energies around you, and the more you start working with the energy of your home by applying feng shui principles, the more you pay attention to the right feng shui placement of art in your home. First, of course, you will be mindful of what the images represent/what energy they emanate, and decide if this energy is good for you and your home. Second, you will do your best to place your favorite art pieces in the feng shui areas best-suited for their specific energies.
The feng shui forum has several discussions on the best placement of art images - from eagles to waterfalls - check them out.
And the feng shui placement of this popular artwork - "Dance Me to the End of Love" by Jack Vettriano - is obvious, isn't it? RELATED:

Your reference to Feng Shui in your article on why Orange and Black are the colors of Halloween is totally off the mark spiritually.
It is unfortunate that you could not link this High Holiday of your Celtic ancestors. It is well known among certain groups that Black and Orance stand for death and birth, rock and fire. This is a Celtic tradition not Chinese I belive…
Hi Pamela Mae:
The history of Halloween is fascinating, and about.com has many interesting articles about the history of Halloween.
However, this particular blog posting is about the energy of these two colors as used in the Halloween decor of a home.
Feng shui being the art of harmonious placements, we explore the topic of Halloween orange-and-black home decor and its energy, or feng shui. The historical aspect of the Halloween tradition was not the focus of this particular exploration.
I could certainly argue with the “totally off the mark spiritually”… but I will not.
Cheers,
OK..not to sound stupid…but “Dance me to the end of love” should be in the bedroom, right?
Hi Rhonda:
Yes, “Dance me to the end of love” is excellent in the bedroom, as well as in the love & marriage feng shui area (Southwest)
