If you look at feng shui from the strict classical perspective, or from a scholarly point of view, then Ganesh is really not a classical, or typical feng shui cure.
All classical feng shui cures are based on Chinese history and mythology, and Ganesh obviously belongs to the pantheon of Indian Gods. So, logically, vastu shastra will have more to say about the energy of Ganesh in your home.
However, good feng shui means good energy, and in its essence the energy cannot be bound to any cultural traditions or symbols.
If the energy of Ganesh speaks to you, meaning you feel connected to it in some way and receive a certain quality of energy from it - be it protection, blessings or good fortune - then chances are Ganesh is an excellent feng shui cure for your home.
