From "Time to go to bed!" to "Shall we go to bed?" and "He is on his deathbed.." - the bed is the most used, popular and important piece of furniture in one's life.
Needless to say, feng shui-wise, a good bed is one of the most important feng shui purchases you will make for your own well-being.
What makes a great feng shui bed? Three things:
- Good headboard. While you are drifting off to sleep, your body is going intro an extra busy energy repair work on many levels. Subconsciously your head needs good backing, protection and support, just like your back needs it when you are seating in a chair for extended periods of time. Best feng shui headboards are the ones that are solid and made from wood, or the upholstered ones, as they have a very good combination of solid, but also gentle and supporting feng shui energy for you and your bedroom.
- Good mattress. There is a variety of mattresses on the market, choose wisely and invest in the one that will promote best sleep and relaxation. The better you sleep at night, the better your health, this is really simple.
- Good height to allow for a balanced feng shui energy flow under the bed. Generally, the beds that have built-in storage drawers underneath to help you with storage solutions are considered bad feng shui beds. The energy needs to circulate around your body when you sleep, which is not possible if the space underneath the bed is blocked.

i kept my Bed in the direction of south side and i have improved my love life to a certain extent,career wise it was not good.could you please help to improve my career?
I would suggest focusing on the North area of your whole space, as well as your office. Check your main door energy flow. Also, find out your Kua number and see what your best directions are.

As long as the mirrors are relatively small and do not reflect the bed, the vanity table is ok.
How would it affect my love life if I buy a used bed with a used mattress?
I would suggest you go for a new mattress, as you never know the energy and the love luck of people who used it before.

Our bedroom has a sloped roof and small built in wardrobes at either side and the bed lying in the middle (The bed is in the middle of the room and faces the door which is offset to one corner so only part of the bed (mainly my side!) is directly in front of the door. . . . As we cannot move the bed from its position as space is limited is their anything I can do (or do I need to do anything ) to offset the fact that my bed side is in front of the door?

Hi, my room is very small. There is no way to position my bed to be accessible no all sides. how can I work around this?
Even when you cannot access the bed from both sides, you should still leave at least some open space on both sides, do not block the pathway by having one side of the bed touch the wall. Do your best to have some energy flowing to both sides of the bed.

I have a Beautiful Day bed
my bedroom has one large window and our floor vents are beneath it. the foot of my bed does face my bedroom door…any advice on how to move
I have quite a small room and have my bed facing a door to the outside. on the opposite wall (where my head lies) is the entrance to my room,. then on the side i have my ensuite bathroom. i havent lived in this room very long but ever since i have i have been having really terrible sleeps and nightmares miost nights, help!! what can i do to change this? i cant change the position of my bed cos it won’t fit any other way!
My ideal direction is North while my mate’s ideal direction is South. What can I do to help us both?

I have 2 window and my bed is in front of them – my bed has a headboard and 2 night stands – My bed will not fit anywhere else in the room unless I get rid of the night stands – Do you have any suggestions? I know they say you should NOT have your bed in front of the windows. Thank you.
Hi, I’m wondering if it is more important to have my bed facing my lucky direction, or to keep it where it is. It seems that there is currently positive energy flow, however, if I move the bed to my lucky direction, the side of the bed will be near the entrance of the room, kinda awkward? please help
My bedroom door directly faces the toilet door. That is certainly not good feng shui. But the toilet door is always closed with the toilet lid down. Are there anything I can do or use in my bedroom to repel away the bad energy (shar chi) that enters my room?
And my auspicious direction is the south. And currently my head is facing the north when I sleep. Shall I turn my bed around so my head faces the auspicious direction? Bear in mind, my bedroom door faces the toilet door, and my door is right at the corner of the room. So I can see the toilet door if my bedroom door isn’t closed.

Re: lucky directions, in between lucky directions with awkward bed positioning or good bed positioning, always go for a good bed positioning; the room will tell you what is best.

It is absolutely ok, feng shui-wise, to have an off-white bed in your bedroom. Yes, the bathroom needs a door.

My bed is facing directly in front of the door and the room is too small for me to have it placed any other way! The door is a French door (wooden with glass squares in it) It is a beautiful door but we have no footboard and I’m worried about losing energy at night. Is it possible to put something above the door that would help this situation? There is also a window directly behind our large headboard.

Ugh I think I just accidentally sent an incomplete message, not used to this laptop. But anyway, my problem is that I only have a daybed and the only place that I can have it that gives me the most room is shoved lengthwise in the corner and against the south wall of my room. I’m sure it’s bad enough having a daybed for feng shui in the romantic area, what can I do?? help…. things are bad enough right now and I’m really starting to wonder if it is affecting my life…

what will happen if i only manage to put a night stand in my room due to limited space.but at the same time, my bed is accessible from both sides.on my left side is a dressing table while a night stand on my right side. i cant change the position of my dressing table or bed cos it won’t fit any other way.that is why i only can put a night stand in my room.

I have an antique brass bed. Is that good or bad?
It depends on what else you have going on in your bedroom… but generally metal beds are not considered very good feng shui.
I know that ch’i needs to circulate freely around and under the bed, and you mentioned that storage drawers are considered bad feng shui, but in a small apartment, with very limited storage space, wouldn’t it be preferable to store them in appropriate containers under the bed than cramming into closets ? I’d appreciate your recommendation. The items were out of season clothing and extra blankets/bedding.

Extra blankets and bedding can be ok for under the bed if stored properly and also if you keep the boxes really clean and not let dust accumulate under the bed.
As for out of season clothing, best to find a different place to store them.

I looked at the forum but did not see this question mentioned.My bedroom is small and my bed directly faces the window with the closet and bedroom doors to the right side of my bed. If I move the bed so the window will be on the side, there will be a hot radiator right next to the bed. Is it ok to leave my bed as it is now. My relationships have a history of stinking!! Yes, it might be best to leave the bed as it is now. However, do not be afraid to experiment, as even a small space can sometime offer unexpected solutions if you are open to it.
