Before looking into the topic of a correct feng shui compass reading, it is always good to be clear about the way you plan to use the feng shui bagua. Or, more exactly, to know which bagua school you are using in your home or office.

Yes, there are two different ways of applying the feng shui bagua, and it is best not to combine them because you will only confuse yourself. The Western, or BTB bagua does not require a compass reading, so the question of compass reading does not apply to it.

The traditional, or classical feng shui school bagua is defined based on an accurate compass reading, so if you are working with the classical bagua then you definitely need to know all about the right compass reading.

I have several articles and a 2 min video how-to that show you how to take the compass reading, so if you have not read the tips or watched the video, be sure to do so.

Here is a new and interesting topic to look at - when you take the feng shui compass reading, do you work with Magnetic North or with True North? Read more
