First, it is very helpful to understand not only which feng shui elements are needed in specific bagua areas, but also the subtle way they interact.
Once you master the art of expressing the five feng shui elements in a subtle, but powerful way, I assure you will be very pleased with your feng shui skills!
So, to help decorate a living room in two different bagua areas:
- Understand which feng shui elements are most needed in specific bagua areas.
- Understand how to express the needed feng shui elements in colors and shapes.
- Understand how to weaken or strengthen a specific element by using one of the cycles of the feng shui elements.
To help you out, let's take an example of a living room that is located part in the Southwest feng shui area (Love & Marriage) and part in the West area (Children & Creativity).
Southwest area needs the Earth feng shui element, and West area needs the Metal feng shui element. Look for a common denominator in between the two areas, which in this case is the Earth element (Earth nourishes Metal).
So, in our example of a living room located in two bagua areas (Southwest and West), you can safely base the living room decor on an earth color scheme and then bring other elements and colors as accents.
Hope this helps!
