I will be opening up a small gym with different type exercise machines than the typical gym. I want people to feel comfortable and I want them to come back. I have looked through your wonderful feng shui website and am wondering if you have any feng shui ideas for me on how to decorate this space and place these three machines.
After all, "working out" not only sounds like work, it actually IS work! Nobody really gets excited with the perspective of doing more work on a regular basis (I know I don't!) So it is worth applying feng shui tips to create high, healthy feng shui energy that will nourish people and want them come back for more!
First you will have to define your image/identity, which in turn will help you define the feng shui energy you need to create. Will your gym have an upscale look or more of a cozy intimate space? Or maybe a combination of two since you mentioned it will be a small space?
Look at the before and after feng shui images that come with this feng shui tip to learn what not to do. Make note of these important feng shui tips:
- Create strong, uplifting energy right at the main entrance.
You get only 4-6 seconds to create an impression, use feng shui to make the best of it. On a subconscious level, people will always remember your space by its first vibes/feng shui energy signals at the main entrance. -
Have the name of your business high and bright, clear and memorable.
You want people to clearly remember your energy. Not having your name clealry displayed at the main door, as well as inside your premises, is a mistake I often see in business. Be smart, help people remember you. Have your name on one of the most prominent walls, for example on the wall facing the main door. Make the supporting wall strong with the appropriate feng shui color - Provide uplifting images throughout your gym, and have a high energy feng shui color, such as red, on at least one wall.
South, Southwest or Northeast are the best areas for the feng shui applications of the red color. - Monitor the quality of your indoor air.
Quality of air is one the biggest challenges in many health clubs. Feng Shui Air-Purifying Plants can be a solution here. - Have smart feng shui lighting.
In feng shui Light is nutrition; it gives us energy. Go for several levels of lighting and avoid fluorescent ceiling lights at all costs. - Have plenty of mirrors.
In feng shui, mirrors add more light, expand the space and bring the soothing feng shui water element. Best feng shui areas for mirror placement are North, East, and Southeast. - Provide excellent service.
Feng Shui only works when complemented by your other efforts; good feng shui colors, music and a high energy environment will impress, but will not substitute for a caring service that builds loyal clientele.
Best of Luck with opening your business!
