Feng Shui for fall season is all about a gentle transition from the care-free and fiery feng shui element energy of the summer season to a slow, deep and inward energy of winter (water feng shui element.)

Is the feng shui of your home ready for this transition? Do you know how to use feng shui and space clearing for a healthy and gentle transition for yourself and for your home?

In the article below, space clearing expert Christan Hummel offers you 6 Cs to help your home with a gentle and easy feng shui fall transition.

In the fall nature is getting ready to shed her leaves and let go of the past. Fall is also the time when we tend to do the same with the feng shui energy of our homes. And while feng shui has burgeoned into a multi-billion dollar industry catering to the likes of corporate CEOs as well as Hollywood celebrities, by using a few simple feng shui space clearing tips, even a novice can begin to clear their environment.

You can use feng shui space clearing tips to clear your home from the vibrational imprints of the past – to sweep out the old energy and make space for good energy in the new season.

1. Clutter: To our subconscious mind, clutter triggers images of stagnation, decay and life areas where the vital energy is stuck. Clutter usually represents things we resist and places we don't want to put our attention. If you want to welcome good changes into your life in the new season, use feng shui to clear the clutter. Be it piles of laundry, old magazines, or the junk you hide in your drawers - focus on releasing the chaotic energy of the clutter from your home and create a clear feng shui foundation for the new season.

2. Corners: Corners are the places in your home where the vital energy, or Ch'i comes to a stop like traffic at a four way stop sign. Use feng shui and discover how plants, artwork, or small pieces of furniture in your corners can move the energy. The running water of a feng shui fountain, the flow of air represented by a wind chime, or the life sustaining energy of a plant - see what you want to use as a feng shui cure to keep the energy moving and flowing. Allow your intuition to guide you towards the best feng shui solutions to revive and redirect the dead energies from your corners.

3. Closets: I see closets as the bowels of our homes and offices, the feng shui energy storage bins for old, dead energy. If you don't use it, loose it! Keep your closets clean, neat, and free of unwanted, old, or unused items. Don't allow your closets to become chaotic and heavy holes, or they will spread this quality of feng shui energy throughout your home.

4. Ceremony: Ceremonies are created to honor life, seasons, and various aspects of living beyond the physical plane. Ceremonies bring us in touch with the vast worlds beyond our everyday experience. Make time for ceremony in your life: use candles, scents, music, sacred to you items and symbols and let your home receive a fresh flow of healing and inspiration. Burning a candle each night and ceremonially letting the problems and worries of the day burn in the fire, is a simple feng shui ceremony that keeps the energies of your home clean and clear of the burdens of the day.

5. Consciousness: In my opinion, the power of consciousness cannot be overstated. Use feng shui to find areas in your home or office where you have vacated your consciousness - the closets, the corners, the dead energy zones you pretend not to see. Put your consciousness into these spaces, and use feng shui to transform their energy. Energy flows where attention goes, create good energy for the fall and winter season with warm colors, rich textures, inspiring images and a relaxing, comfortable feeling.

6. Cycles: There is a rhythm to everything in life, there is a time for growth, and a time for death. Cycles are important to observe: for example, the moon cycles are often used for planting, cutting hair, or beginning new projects. Similarly, observing the cycles of the seasons are important in order to maintain good feng shui energy in our homes. When transitioning to fall and winter, pay special attention to the energy of your home and use feng shui to strengthen and balance it.

When we consciously align ourselves and our homes with the cycles of nature, we find more harmony and balance in our lives. We can use feng shui in making our homes a sanctuary to reflect our highest intentions and dreams, as well as comfort us through the cold and long nights of winter.
