Canada Day (July 1) and Independence Day in USA (July 4) mark the beginning of a busy time in North America for summer outdoor celebrations.

No matter where you live, though, the essence of a hot summer season is the same - to lavish us with a powerful yang quality fire feng shui element energy. A strong, vibrant natural energy that can create a reservoir in your body to help sustain you through long cold winter (yin energy) months.

A good feng shui suggestion is to keep a summer journal with feng shui notes for your home. Record your discoveries of surprising colors and color combinations that delighted your senses, travel experiences that changed your life this summer, new scents that made you feel happy, etc.

Fill your journal with photos, sketches and ideas on how you can bring this strong natural healing feng shui energy indoors - into your home and office space - to take care of your own energy when you need a boost.

Make it work on more than one feng shui energy level - make it visual (photos, art or drawing) but also make it tactile (seashells, rocks) and involve your olfactory senses, too (dried herbs, a bunch of fresh , a memorable summer scent, etc.)

Re-create your home with beautiful memories just as you feel your personal energy re-created after a great summer trip. Don't let this precious energy vanish - keep it alive by making your home feng shui energy express it.
